How do I distinguish between works by the same author with the same title in MLA?
Answer
When you have works by the same author, that also have the same title, the in text citation will need some additional information.
Include the first unique piece of information from the entry. This could be the translator, editor, edition number, publisher, or publication date. Whatever information you choose to use, make sure you are using it consistently.
Include the information in square brackets after the title.
Example:
(Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet [Arden Shakespeare] line 7)
