Search for a specific short story, poem, or author.
When searching for titles or authors, use quotation marks to do an exact phrase search (e.g.,
"The Tell-Tale Heart" or "Emily Dickinson").
Search by the type of short story or poem.
Examples: anthology of short stories, poems about nature
Use the advanced search.
Search for the title (ti:), author (au:), or subject (su:).
Examples:
ti:("The Tell-Tale Heart")
au:("Emily Dickinson")
su:("love poetry")
Try subject terms such as:
Short stories -- Collections
American poetry
Fiction -- Short stories
Use the filters to narrow down your search results.
Publication Year, Content Type, Language, etc.
Look at Contents and Summary information.
When you click on a search result it will open the full item record. If it is an anthology look for a Contents or Summary section. These sections will list individual stories or poems included in the anthology.
Start broad and narrow down your search as you go.
